Hi, I'm Kim!

I have been in the Beauty Therapy industry for nearly 11 years.

Beauty was my passion from a very young age and my professional journey began in 2010.

School felt restrictive for me. I was a busy, distracted, hands-on type of kid, and sitting in a classroom turned me stir crazy! 

I completed the final exam of my Year 10 School Certificate on Friday, and Monday, I began the first day of my Beauty Therapy apprenticeship! 

Finding an industry to channel my energy was like a home-cooked meal from mum—a sense of belonging, a space for individual creativity and growth. 

My spark and passion for beauty grew, and an all-new level of education had begun.

Throughout my career path, I have worked at three different large, busy salons across Parkes and Dubbo. The experience gained across these bustling and fast-paced salons was priceless!

The pull to move back to Parkes came about as I found myself falling in love with Parkes local and my now-husband, Dan.

Fast forward a few years; I am now a Mum to two precious, busy, lively and adorable tiny humans; Walter and Charlize!

Simply Belissima was created to suit my inevitable path of becoming a mum. An extremely doting and invested mum raised me, and I always thought: I hope I can one day be even half the mum she was to me!

In 2013, Simply Belissima was born. 

I was still working in Dubbo at the time, and I would come home on weekends and do a few clients here and there. I slowly got busier, and I would commute the 120km through the week to do a few after-hours clients, and before I knew it, I was cutting back hours in the stable and steady job I had, to follow a dream of; running my own salon!

In February of 2016, Simply Belissima became my full-time hustle; I have never looked back.

We've come a long way since the outdoor room at my mum's house. Simply Belissima is now a beautiful little salon located at the rear of my home. 

 Some clients have been with me for the entire 11 years of my career, others are more recent, but I value the relationships formed with every client, and I treasure our "catch-ups" every few weeks.

Creating a place for you to destress is what Simply Belissima strives to be. 

Being a woman can be overwhelming; one of the pros is pampering!

I love all aspects of my job:

The before and after transformation of a full set of eyelash extensions.

The compliment of when someone starts to snore during a massage.

The light bulb moment when I explain the causes of someone's skin issues.

The beauty industry is where I feel the most at home. It's what I love, it's where I thrive, and it is far more than just a day job for me.  

Through industry education and motivation, I hope to nurture everyone's highs and lows and send you home feeling lighter, pampered and relaxed!
